Fallout 76 Nuka Dark Rum May Finally be Shipping Soon

While Fallout 76 may be having its own problems, many people may be unaware of the ongoing saga of Nuka Dark Rum. This alcoholic beverage was first announced four months ago by Bethesda; the first item to release as part of their new Nuka Dark patent. The rum was supposed to release in November alongside Fallout 76, but has been delayed several times. Now, it seems as though it may finally ship.

Nuka Dark Rum Was Announced Months Ago

Fallout 76 Nuka Dark Rum Supposedly Shipping Later This Month

When Bethesda released Fallout 4 in 2015, they partnered with Carlsberg to release “Fallout Beer”; a limited edition tie-in. Earlier this year, the company filed a formal patent called Nuka Dark. This could be used in the future to release all manner of alcoholic beverages, as well as aperitifs and digestives. The first product to release as part of this venture will be Nuka Dark Rum, which is being made by the Silver Screen Bottling Co. The rum became available to pre-order three months ago, and was meant to ship alongside Fallout 76.

However, customers who pre-ordered the rum were notified via email in November that its release had been delayed. According to the email; “the product was not up to Fallout standards”. Two days ago, a new email was released which notified customers that the company was “finalising bottling,” along with a video showing the rum being packaged for shipping. The video states that shipping will begin on the 12th of December, although it’s unknown exactly how long it will take to reach customers.

Nuka Dark Rum is described by the Silver Screen Bottling Co. thusly; “This drink temporarily increases one’s Strength and Endurance by 1 but decreases Perception by 1 as well. Chilling a bottle of Nuka Dark with Buddy yields Ice cold Nuka Dark, but there is no added benefit in doing so. It is a classic tropical rum distilled with exacting standards. Soft of the pallet, this dark rum exhibits flavors of molasses and vanilla with a distinct note of coconut on the nose.”
