12 Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass Soon

It’s that time again. Microsoft has recently added 12 games to its Xbox Game Pass app “Leaving Soon” section. All of these games are going away in the next few weeks. That means you are going to want to install and play them while you have the chance. Let’s take a look at all the games leaving Xbox Game Pass soon so you do not miss out.

Here are the Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass

These games will no longer be on Xbox Game Pass after the end of this month:

  • AI: The Somnium Files (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Astria Ascending (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Dandy Ace (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Dirt 4 (PC) EA Play
  • Dirt Rally (PC) EA Play
  • Going Under (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Lemnis Gate (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Slime Rancher (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Subnautica: Below Zero (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • The Procession to Calvary (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Unsighted (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Visage (Cloud, Console, and PC)

Note that a lot of stories mention that 10 of these games are probably leaving on September 30th, and 2 of them in early October. But Xbox Wire currently lists all 12 titles under “Leaving September 30.” So, it appears that all of the games are leaving the service simultaneously.

Once a game leaves Xbox Game Pass, you lose access to it if you do not buy it. One nice perk of your subscription, however, is that it qualifies you for big discounts. So, you are going to want to check these games out while you can. That way, you can figure out whether or not you want to buy them.

While it is sad to see games leaving Xbox Game Pass, the good news is that new games are arriving. Deathloop is now available on the service. So is Hardspace: Shipbreaker. On September 22nd, we get SpiderHeck, Beacon Pines, and Slime Rancher 2. On September 27th, the service adds Moonscars and Grounded – Full Release. September 29th sees the additions of Let’s Build a Zoo and Valheim. Finally, the service will add PAW Patrol Grand Prix on September 30th.

It is especially noteworthy that Slime Rancher 2 is among the upcoming Xbox Game Pass games. You might have noticed that the original Slime Rancher is leaving the service. But now you do not have to despair, for your favorite relaxing, cute game’s sequel will be here for you to enjoy. In fact, that game’s release date is September 22nd. So, subscribers get to play it on Xbox Game Pass the very day it comes out.  It sure is great not to have to wait!

Now you know what to expect in the coming weeks on Xbox Game Pass. Have fun with the games that are leaving while they last, and enjoy the new games when they arrive. You can follow our Xbox news section for future updates on the service and all things Xbox.
