14 Days Of Fortnite Has Returned For A Week

Fortnite’s popular Holiday event “14 Days of Fortnite”  has returned to the game for a whole week. The original event started in December and lasted for 14 days, before ending on 1st of January of this year. Some confusion between the developers led to the announcement of the incorrect date of the conclusion of the event. Some players couldn’t complete the challenges in time and they were not happy when the event ended.

No Equalizer Glider Gift As Compensation In Fortnite

To make up for the mistake, Epic previously decided to give away the Equalizer Glider to every player who participated in the event. The Glider was a reward for completing the final challenge of “14 Days of Fortnite” event. But now it seems like Epic Games thinks that giving away the glider is not a good approach to compensate players for the mistake.

14 Days of Fortnite Returns

A recent statement from Epic Games revealed that they thought to bring back the event was a better choice. Epic released the following statement on their official website:

We communicated an incorrect end date for the 14 Days of Fortnite event and did not feel the Equalizer Glider compensation was the right approach. After further discussion, we’ve decided to bring back this event early next week through January 15 at 3 AM ET(0800 UTC). We’ll also be enabling some of the most popular Limited Time Modes that were available during the event.

It’s good that the event came back because that way players will be able to get every reward now. Epic Games also mentioned that the progress on partially completed challenges had to be reset, unfortunately. Players only have a week to complete all the challenges before it leaves the game for good. Popular LTMs will also be added each day, so it is a good chance to complete the latest weekly challenges.
