5 Real-Life Locations That Need To Be Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies Maps

The Zombies mode has always been where the Call of Duty franchise can throw historical accuracy to the wind and really let loose, and the maps in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 are no exception.

With a wild ride aboard the Titanic in “Voyage of Despair” and a time-traveling odyssey to ancient Rome in “IX,” Black Ops 4 is indulging in the old Zombies tradition of taking a real-life historical location and turning it on its head.

We hope Treyarch keeps it up. Here’s our list of five real-life locations that would be perfect as maps in Call of Duty: Black Ops IV.

Appomattox Court House

Picture this: Generals Ulysses S. Grant and Robert E. Lee sit down at the table in the stately Virginia court house where the Confederate Army famously surrendered to the Union. But, while the ink is still wet, the dead begin to rise. Consequently,  the North and South are forced to work together to stave off their undead enemies. Zombies don’t care about wars or uniforms. All they care about is brains.

Troy

This IS a pretty nice gift.

The Greek soldiers are at the walls of the city. But, instead of battering rams and siege engines, Troy’s enemies have come bearing a gift: a massive, wooden horse. The unsuspecting Trojans bring the offering within their walls and then, when night falls, an army of the dead burst out from within the horse. At first, players are tasked with boarding up the horse to prevent more zombies from escaping. After the initial horse horde is defeated, the Greeks catapult reinforcement zombies in.

The Winchester Mystery House

This spooky mansion in San Jose, California was designed by Sarah Lockwood Winchester, the widow of William Wirt Winchester, the wealthy gun magnate whose family created and amassed a fortune selling the Winchester Rifle. Construction began in 1886 and continued, 24-hours-a-day, until Winchester’s death in 1922.

Due to its massive size, it would be difficult for Treyarch to make this mansion work as a map. With 160 rooms, this impossibly large and labyrinthine house, could be the setting for an entire game on its own.

Area 51

No one knows what goes down at this Air Force Facility in Nevada, but whatever it is, it’s highly classified. Many speculate that the top secret work being done here involves research on UFOs or aliens.

Most importantly, alien zombies. Zombie aliens? Let’s do it.

Atlantis

All right, jury’s still out on whether this is a real location, but, given that zombies maps have included giant robots, fire-breathing dragons, and, well, zombies, I would love to see the team at Treyarch take players on a voyage to the lost city under the sea. Also, hopefully in the process we would get to fight zombie mermaids, zombie mermen and zombie humpback whales.
