Madden 19 Cover Athlete Predictions

EA still hasn’t mentioned a release date for Madden 19, but installments usually land in August. That means we should be playing the new game in just a few months. In the meantime, we get to wonder which athlete is going to be featured on the cover. Here are our Madden 19 cover athlete predictions!

5. Alvin Kamara

Alvin Kamara Madden 19

Alvin Kamara’s impressive first season with the New Orleans Saints has led to him being honoured as Offensive Rookie of the Year. Over the course of the season, Kamara managed to run 728 yards. Through all of it, he only fumbled a single time. Eight times, he managed to get the ball into the end zone. With his awesome stats, he truly is off to an incredible start in the NFL and would be a worthy choice as Madden 19 cover athlete.

4. Todd Gurley II

Todd Gurley II Madden 19

Todd Gurley II is in his third season as a running back with the Los Angeles Rams. His stats just keep getting better and better, and he does an expert job playing cohesively with his team, in particular quarterback Jared Goff. This would be a great year for EA to honor him with some special recognition on the cover of Madden 19.

3. Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers Madden 19

Another great option would be Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers. When Rodgers broke his collarbone last season, it didn’t just take him out of the game—it also took the Packers out of the running for postseason. This season, Rodgers has come back with a vengeance. Both his stats and his tenacity should merit him a spot on the Madden 19 cover.

2. Luke Kuechly

Luke Kuechly Madden 19

It’s been ages since the cover of Madden 19 featured a defensive player, so it would be great to see an unstoppable defender like the Panthers’ Luke Kuechly receive the honor. Over a mere three seasons, Kuechly was able to net an impressive 90 tackles. No wonder the Panthers have been leading the way with interceptions since he came onboard.

1. Antonio Brown

Antonio Brown Madden 19

Pittsburgh Steelers player Antonio Brown’s career as a wide receiver has received plenty of well-deserved acclaim. He’s a four-time All-Pro and a six-time Pro Bowler. He’s been the NFL receiving yards and receptions leader twice each. His stats this past season included 1,533 total yards and nine touchdowns. If he’s not a contender for the Madden 19 cover athlete, no one is.
