Though Apex Legends continues to shatter records and fix issues with recent updates, there is still more work to be done. For instance, there are many members of the Apex Legends community that are calling for an Apex Legends Wingman Nerf. This is no surprise since the same thing is happening with Peacekeeper as well. But why is this happening and will a nerf really happen?
These are the questions that we aim to answer right here. For those who don’t know, a nerf is essentially a way of saying a reduction in the weapon’s capabilities. This could be reducing the damage it deals or even its range. It differs for each weapon out there. Here’s why people want an Apex Legends Wingman Nerf and if we think it will happen.
Apex Legends Wingman Nerf
For starters, the Wingman is a pistol in Apex Legends that is similar to a hand cannon or revolver in terms of power. It can be a little slow to fire but if you land a single shot, you are going to deal some serious damage. The problem lies in that it isn’t as slow to fire as it should be.
With two headshots in a row, you can knock 180 damage, which will take out just about anyone who doesn’t have full health and at least a level three armor. While that’s not that bad, you can just as easily shoot from the hip with little to no accurate aim and still blast off a chunk of damage in no time.
It’s better than shotguns in some cases and exists in a way that many, if not all, endgame circle fights revolve around it. It doesn’t help that it can be found all over the map. Players want a simple Apex Legends Wingman Nerf to its damage and/or rate of fire.
