Asus ROG’s Powerful New Phone Was Created with PUBG and Fortnite in Mind

There’s a new gaming smartphone in town, and it’s called the ASUS ROG. It’s an extremely powerful phone to have at your disposal, especially if you’re someone who likes to play a lot of Fortnite and PUBG on the go. There haven’t been a whole lot of gaming-specific phones created in the past few years because they just don’t seem to be as in demand as they used to be. But now, with hot games like PUBG and Fortnite on the horizon and available for players to burn up every day and night, there’s a lot more demand for them.

ASUS ROG Phone

The specs on the phone are pretty insane. ROG Phone is powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 845 chipset, with a push forward on its top CPU clock speed, taking it from the standard 2.8GHz up to 2.96GHz, the first for the smartphone industry. So it should have no trouble handling your games on the go, whether you’re trying to get your Victory Royale or your chicken dinner — no judgments here!

Interestingly enough, there’s also three USB-C ports, which you can use to keep the phone powered up and ready to rock for portable gaming at just about any time. You can keep it ready to go while investigating meteors or buying new crates, and without the cables impeding your space while you’re trying to play the game. You can also toggle through various apps on the phone with very little effort or fanfare.

This is no doubt a tool created for hardcore gamers to take their favorite mobile adaptations of popular titles on the go, and it’s awesome to see manufacturers taking these mobile iterations seriously, just like console and PC devs do with the regular versions of PUBG and Fortnite.

Will you be checking out one of these phones, or are you still going to rock the phone you have? Maybe you’re waiting for Fortnite on Switch? Let us know!
