July is right around the corner, which means that PlayStation Plus subscribers have another month of free games to look forward to. Now, thanks to a new post on the PlayStation Blog, we know what July, 2018’s free PS Plus games will be, and they’re led by two games that are sure to catch the eye.
As usual, the most exciting games for July are pulled from the PlayStation 4 catalog. Once the July selection is rotated in, PS4 owners will be able to download and play the PS4 version of Quantic Dream’s psychological thriller Heavy Rain, a narrative-driven game in which players must track down an enigmatic murderer known as the Origami Killer. Along with Heavy Rain, those with an active PS Plus subscription will also be able to download Sloclap’s martial arts adventure game Absolver, a game that allows players to create their own fighting styles and challenge both AI opponents and each other.
If you still have a working PlayStation 3 lying around, you’ll also be able to download and play Rayman 3 HD and Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess. Lastly, on the PlayStation Vita front, Sony is offering Space Overlords and Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma as free downloads.
There are several other bonuses available to active PS Plus subscribers for the month of July as well. Earlier this month, to celebrate the upcoming launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Sony and Activision kicked off a special promotion wherein PS Plus members can grab the digital PlayStation 4 version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 for free. That offer is still good until July 11, bringing the total number of free PS Plus games available on PS4 to three.
