As more Fire Emblem: Three Houses news continues to flow in, fans’ excitement becomes all the more palpable. Following the big release date announcement at the recently held Nintendo Direct, the buzz around the game shows no signs of slowing. The hype train keeps chugging along as Nintendo has revealed four more screenshots from the game.

Latest Screenshots Detail Combat, Teaching, and Relationships

Fans have been waiting for over a decade to see Fire Emblem return to home consoles, and Nintendo is seeking to deliver on the anticipation felt around the globe. After a landmark year for the Switch, many agree 2019 is the perfect year for the series to make a resurgence. With these screenshots, Nintendo has offered some more insight into the various systems at play in Three Houses.

In the screenshots provided by the Nintendo of America Twitter, a couple of dialogues can be seen. This is accompanied by a mid-combat picture and one of the main character’s attempts to execute their professional duties as a professor at the Officer’s Academy. This all ties into everything that has been shown so far about the game, while also offering some new insights into the actual gameplay.

It was announced during the big Nintendo Direct reveal that players will take the role of a professor at the Officer’s Academy where they will train and tutor students in matters of tactical combat and magical skills. One screenshot in particular goes a bit into detail as to how the teaching aspect of Three Houses will function. The “tutor” and “auto-tutor” options present appear to be individually based trainings, as described at the bottom of the screenshot. A group task can also be initiated, presumably offering students a little less XP, but with the benefit of affecting multiple pupils.

An individual tutoring session is depicted in one of the pictures featuring dialogue as well. The protagonist can be seen interacting with a student named Dorothea, who thanks her teacher as she gains experience points. A small icon in the left corner can also be seen indicating the player’s relationship with Dorothea has grown. In past iterations relationships have played roles in both dialogue and combat, incentivizing players to grow close to those they favor in both difficult scenarios and the story alike.

These sparse details are expected to be expanded upon in the coming months as Fire Emblem: Three Houses nears its summer release date of July 26. The beloved franchise’s next iteration is set to bring a host of interesting new aspects to the table that could truly change the way fans experience the series.
