The Apex Legends Lost Treasures Collection Event – the first ‘Collection Event’ of Apex Legends’ fifth season, is now live. The event will be active from today until the 7th of July. While it’s active, the event offers players the chance to get 24 exclusive event cosmetics, a new game mode, and a new town takeover, among other things.
The Apex Legends Lost Treasures Collection Event
The headline feature of the Apex Legends Lost Treasures Collection Event is the addition of Armed and Dangerous Evolved; a new game mode based on the original Armed and Dangerous mode. Like the original, this mode features shotguns and sniper rifles only. However, the difference is that every player drops into the match with a Mozambique and Evo Armor already equipped. No other armor can be found in the match either, meaning that engaging in combat is the only way to improve your armour.
The other big change to the mode is the removal of respawn beacons. In their place, Respawn is debuting a new item; the Mobile Respawn Beacon. These items act as exactly what they sound like, but as a more miniature and temporary version. Like previous new items, this appears to be a trial, most likely ahead of a full release after the event comes to an end.
Beyond the new mode, the Lost Treasures event brings a new town takeover – Crypto’s Map Room. This area is in the south-east of the map, close to Repulsor. It also, just like previous Collection Events, includes 24 exclusive event cosmetics. These are available both directly and through Lost Treasure Event Packs. Additionally, there is an event exclusive prize track, and a special offers tab which includes a range of extra exclusive cosmetics too. All of this content will be acquirable until the Lost Treasure Collection Event ends on the 7th of July.
