Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is Getting Its Own Themed Obstacle Course

In the past, video game publishers have pulled off some pretty crazy stunts to promote their new games, some of which have worked, others not so much. However, an upcoming promotional event for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will require that participants be the ones performing the crazy stunts as they work through a specially-themed obstacle course.

The obstacle course will appropriately be called the Assassin’s Creed Challenge and it will be available for participants to try on October 5 and 6 (October 5 is also the day on which Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is scheduled to launch). Sadly, if you’re not currently based in Sydney, Australia, you’ll have to do some travelling if you want to try the course for yourself as Ubisoft’s Australia studio will be hosting the obstacle course event in Sydney’s Metcalfe Park.

As you can see in the above and below images, the obstacle course will have a prominent ancient Greek theme, which makes sense given that Odyssey is set during the ancient Greek time period. The final section of the course will even replicate the iconic “Leap of Faith” from the Assassin’s Creed games in which a participant will have to jump off a seven-meter-high platform down onto a designated safe area.

Assassin's Creed fans will have to take their own leap of faith.

Every participant who successfully completes the course will be given a collectible Spartan helmet, and there will naturally be game stations on hand for attendees who want to give Assassin’s Creed Odyssey a try. You can see more photos of the course and/or register for the event here.
