Backyard Legend Marcelas Howard Perry Joins NBA Live 19 Creator Challenge
As EA Sports says, “It’s in the game,” and now The Backyard Legend is officially in their game. Marcelas Howard Perry, known for his hoops skills in the backyard is the latest celeb to join the NBA Live 19 Creator Challenge. That gives gamers another celeb to try to defeat so they can add him and his unique moves to their roster.
NBA Live 19 Creator Challenge Adds Marcelas Howard Perry
Howard becomes the latest celebrity to join Creator Challenge. Previous celebs included “Power” actor Omari Hardwick, Lil Bibby, and the Dyl-kota twins, as well as another guy known for his moves. Baller and Instagram celeb Tristan Jass was revealed along with Filayyyy over just the past week or so. EA’s NBA Live account has given gamers a look at each of these new characters’ unique moves on the court.
On Friday afternoon, Howard retweeted EA’s NBA Live video clip highlights promoting him in the game. He included a caption about how cool it is to be a part of the video game he played since he was younger.

Marcelas Howard detailed his NBA Live 19 trip
Howard currently boasts some hefty social media numbers, showing just how popular he is. He’s got a robust YouTube channel with over 600k subscribers who check out his variety of videos featuring NBA stars or celebrities. Recent guests have included the Warriors’ DeMarcus Cousins, Kings’ De’Aaron Fox, and fellow Creator Challenge star Tristan Jass.
A few weeks ago Howard dropped a YouTube video detailing his visit to Vancouver, Canada for EA’s Motion Capture Studio. It’s a unique look at what goes into bringing any athlete into the game as a playable character. That goes for professional or backyard athletes.
In addition to the YouTube channel, Howard’s got just over 11,000 Twitter followers. However, he’s also got over 245,000 Instagram followers as well as over 100,000 Facebook fans. Now those followers or fans who own the hit basketball title can try to defeat him in the game.
