Bandai Namco’s Ninja Box Looks Crafty and Adorable

Bandai Namco has joined the creative, crafting fray by showing off an image of its newest upcoming game, Ninja Box. What’s more, Ninja Box is set to come out on the Nintendo Switch, meaning you’ll get to play this game on the go.

Admittedly, not much is known about the game. According to Siliconera, the game was revealed in the latest issue of a comic called CoroCoro, which describes Ninja Box as a “super large-scale crafting game.” With the likes of Minecraft and now CardLife around, it may seem odd for Bandai Namco to suddenly jump on the bandwagon. Nonetheless, who can deny that crafting ninja’s sound adorable?

Ninja Box: What We Know So Far

Siliconera mentions that the game will feature an “idiot ninja named Tonkachi-kun of Planet Tatemakuri.” As someone who knows little about ninja’s but a lot about planets, I believe it’s fair to assume we won’t be on Earth in this game. That may not seem like a lot of information, but it could mean that our building components may not be so human.

Tonkachi-kun will also be joined by his friend, Hiroto. Hiroto is described as being a ‘regular boy’ in this game. Which leads me to ask, what makes a regular boy? Are we in fact, surrounded by aliens in this game? The possibilities are endless and wacky.

As for what you can create, it looks to be a variety of weapons, devices and buildings. That may not sound all that creative, but this is early day’s and we’re sure we’ll hear more soon.

If there’s one thing we’re definitely stoked about, it is the art style. While it hasn’t been confirmed this is the actual style of the game, we can’t deny it looks beautiful. Do you agree? Be sure to let us know.

Ninja Box is being developed for the Nintendo Switch. A release date has not been confirmed, but you can visit the site here.
