Battlefield 1 Hidden Weapon “The Peacekeeper” Discovered

DICE has been working on hidding a few easte eggs in Battlefield 1, where players would have to complete missions and obtain different items in order to unlock hidden weapons. The beautiful Peacekeeper is one of those weapons, recently found by the Battlefield community.

The “hide and seek” in Battlefield 1 started back in February, when players had to decode hidden messages in order to find a special dog tag. After that, players managed to go through a series of more easter eggs, giving them special dog tags as well.

Players, over the past months, were taking part in a series of puzzles called the “Phantom Program”, which other than a special bow and arrow weapon gives you access to the Peacekeeper. Here’s a description of the Peacekeeper from Battlefield 1 wiki:

The Peacemaker is a high-damage weapon, with a maximum of ~60 damage when hitting an enemy torso. Besides the standard revolver ability to two-shot kill at close range, the revolver can one-shot kill with a headshot within a similar distance. This makes it fairly unique amongst revolvers, and only the Obrez Pistol shares such a rapid time-to-kill in the sidearm category.

How can you unlock it though? There are 7 steps to unlock the Peacekeeper:

  • A Beginning
  • A Conflict
  • An Escalation
  • An Omen
  • Angel Sighting
  • Belly of the Beast
  • The Peacekeeper itself

Of the above steps, 5 of them reward dog tags. “A Beginning,” “A Conflict,” and “An Omen” unlock front side dog tags, while “Angel Sighting,” and “Unknowable” unlock back side dog tags. “An Escalation” unlocks a unique weapon skin for the M1917 MG.

Missing any of the aforementined steps counts as a “no-go” towards the Peacekeeper. If you want to unlock this beautiful revolver you have to research and obtain all dog tags and then move forward to the Peacekeeper challenge to obtain it. Get ready for a big dose of puzzles and decoding morse codes.
