The Battlefield 2042 Beta is now just days away from launch – scheduled for the 5th of October – offering gamers their first chance to try out the upcoming title. As the start date approaches, DICE has now confirmed the exact time that the Beta will open, as well as when players will be able to pre-load ahead of the event.

Battlefield 2042 Beta – Release & Pre-Load Times

The Battlefield 2042 Beta is due to begin on the 8th of October and will last for just two days, ending on Saturday the 9th. The Beta will feature only one game mode; the classic Conquest mode, along with a single map, called Orbital. Four of Battlefield 2042’s Specialists will be playable during the Beta; Maria Falck, Pyotr “Boris” Guskovsky, Webster Mackay, and Wikus “Casper” van Daele.

Battlefield 2042 Beta Release and Pre-Load Times

The event will take place across two separate phases. The first phase is an early access period, starting on the 6th of October. During this event, players who have pre-ordered the game or who have EA Play subscriptions, can participate in two extra days of gameplay on the 6th and 7th.

The Early Access start of the Battlefield 2042 Beta on the 6th will open at 12:00 AM PT / 03:00 AM EDT / 08:00 AM BST. The Open Beta period on the 7th will also start at the same time. With only four days total, and only two for the general public, the Battlefield 2042 Beta is likely to be in extremely high demand. Fortunately, players can pre-load the Beta ahead of the event so as to avoid suffering through incredibly long load times.

Battlefield 2042 Beta pre-loading will begin at 12:00 AM PT / 03:00 AM EDT / 08:00 AM BST on the 5th of October, 24 hours before the event begins. PC players who wish to see the minimum and recommended system requirements for the Battlefield 2042 Beta should click here.
