Battlefield V Customization Switch Will Be Available For Tournaments But Not Public

Fans wanted a Battlefield V Customization Switch to be implemented in the upcoming franchise title. The Battlefield V subreddit was filled with requests to DICE for weeks now, however, it looks like the community won’t get what it wanted. What’s interesting is that this feature will be available for future Battlefield V tournaments.

The Battlefield V Customization Switch, as the community calls it, is supposed to be a feature letting players “switch off” costumization settings like gender and cosmetics and leave just the basic faction appearance, for a more realistic experience.

DICE has stated that such feature won’t be released for the public and it’s not even in their plans to release one. However, the Battlefield V Customization Switch will be used for tournaments, making all players look like their plain versions, even turning off the female gender too. This setting will be most likely called “run default customization” and will be exclusively use at Battlefield V tournaments.

Putting such a setting into Battlefield V, isn’t far from releasing it to the public as well. The fact that DICE put such effort into making a tournament related setting, that fans have been nagging about for weeks almost feels like a tease to us.

Even if fans are salty now about the way Battlefield V is taking the franchise in general, it is nice to see that, beyond all the talk and trailers, the game actually looks amazing.

When fans will be able to get their hands on Battlefield V everything will be clear. Playtesters have already stated that what we’ve seen is far below what they’ve tried for themselves, so we shall be patient.

For the time being, you can find plenty of information about Battlefield V and the whole backlash about its female characters and customization options, here at VGR.com. Make sure to also check the playtesting footage that is available on Youtube, to see how the game looks in action.
