Black Friday 2019 is due to take place on the 29th of November. However, as per usual, many developers, publishers, and retailers are actually launching their sales ahead of that date. Black Friday has, for many years, been an excellent time to buy gaming consoles; after all, Black Friday console deals are often some of the cheapest of the entire year. With a new console generation due to launch in 2020, prices this year are likely to drop significantly. However, there are also a host of new bundles available which add major new releases to consoles. If you’ve been wanting to get your hands on a console and a few new games cheaply, the next week may well give you that opportunity.
Of course, there are likely to be more Black Friday console deals announced between now and the 29th. While most major retailers have already announced early deals, detailed below, it may be worth double-checking before you make a final purchase. Exact sale dates also vary between retailers. Some, for example, last until December 2nd, while others will end earlier.
The Best Black Friday Console Deals for the PS4
To start off the Black Friday deals is this sale on the PS4 Pro 1TB, which is available for $299.00 at Walmart; a sale reduction of $100. However, you can actually get the same console at Walmart in a bundle with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for the exact same sale price! The best value Walmart deal, however, is a PS4 1TB Bundle which is available for $199.99. This bundle includes a standard 1TB version of the console but bundles it with God of War, The Last of Us Remastered, and Horizon: Zero Dawn Complete Edition; three of the PS4’s top-rated games.
Elsewhere, perhaps one of the most compelling Black Friday PS4 deals is available via PlayStation itself; the PlayStation 4 Pro 1TB Death Stranding Limited Edition Console Bundle. Available for $299.99, this bundle includes the PS4 Pro 1TB as well as Death Stranding. It will be available until the 2nd of December. Both the console and the Dualshock controller featured in this bundle are also custom Death Stranding -themed versions which will only be available for a limited time.
Numerous PS4 console and bundle deals are also currently available on Amazon in their expansive Black Friday sale. These include up to 20% discounts on the PS4 Pro, often bundled with at least 1 game.
The Best Black Friday Console Deals for the Xbox One
When it comes to the Xbox One, there are going to be a lot of bundle deals available in the next week. While the best of these deals, in our opinion, are detailed here, there may well be a bundle available for other specific titles which you want to get your hands on. The first great deal available for the Xbox One is from Walmart; The Xbox One S 1TB All Digital Edition 3 Game Bundle. This deal, which bundles the console with Fortnite, Minecraft, and Sea of Thieves, is available for $149.00, a $100 discount. Other bundles are available at Walmart with Xbox One S 1TB bundled with a specific game, each available for $199.00.
Elsewhere, Best Buy is offering an Xbox One X 1TB console bundle with Gears 5 for $349. (A significant $150 discount overall.) Worth noting here is that they are also offering a $30 gift card along with any Xbox One X purchase in addition to the Black Friday discount. A similar bundle is also available at Best Buy which pairs the Xbox One X 1TB with the Deluxe Edition of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order; a bundle which is arguably better value than the Gears 5 one.
If you’re just looking for an Xbox One on its own, without a bundle, then Costco may be the retailer you’re looking for. The retailer is offering an Xbox One S 1TB with 2 controllers and a 3-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for $200. Note that Game Pass Ultimate includes Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass for PC. Although you might not the games you’d get with Walmart’s All-Digital bundle, the added hardware and subscriptions may make for a better overall deal for some.
The Best Black Friday Console Deals for the Nintendo Switch
When it comes to the Nintendo Switch, there aren’t quite as many big Black Friday deals available. However, there are a few, and with the launch of the Nintendo Switch Lite, now might be a good time to get your hands on the console. First up comes from Walmart; a bundle deal which offers the Nintendo Switch alongside the Spyro Reignited Trilogy for $288.99 (11% off). The deal isn’t as steep as some of the PS4 and Xbox One deals, but the Switch is also a much newer console, so it’s not altogether surprising. Elsewhere, Best Buy is offering a Switch bundle with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, available for $299.99.
