Black Ops 4 Winter Holiday Event Starts Today With New Blackout Mode

This week has been crazy for Black Ops 4 with the release of Operation Absolute Zero and a Double XP Weekend. It’s not over, though, as developer Treyarch has revealed that the first annual Black Ops 4 Winter Holiday Event has begun. Players on the PS4 version of the game can jump into all of the festivities starting today.

Sorry, PC and Xbox One players, but it looks like you will have to wait just a bit longer. The Black Ops 4 Winter Holiday Event brings with it the release of some awesome seasonal activities for all three of the modes. Blackout players can look forward to a holiday event that we will get more into in just a moment. Multiplayer fans can enjoy a new Winter Event stream in the Black Market.

Last but certainly not least, Zombies players can check out the new Winter Calling limited time event on PS4. If you’re reading this right now, you can jump online and check out all of the winter fun on PS4 right now. Treyarch did not give a specific end date for this event but we do suspect it to last a little bit since Xbox One and PC players will have to wait.

However, that’s not all that the Black Ops 4 Winter Holiday Event has brought. There is also a brand new limited-time event mode in Blackout. Called Close Quarters Frenzy, it changes up the Battle Royale format by making the Collapse happen faster. In addition, there are only close quarters weapons available like shotguns, melee, and SMG’s.

Thankfully, we do have an end date for the Close Quarters Frenzy mode. It will come to a close on Monday, December 17, at 10:00 am PT. Also, this mode is available on all three platforms so you can jump in regardless of your platform.
