Borderlands 3 Trials Take-All & Slot Machine Mania Events Now Live

Borderlands 3’s spree of mini-events continues today, as Door Busters and Takedown Shakedown both end, and two new mini-events take their place. Slot Machine Mania and Trials Take All, like the first pair, will be live for the next week, until the 9th of April. They are the third and fourth mini-events to feature during Gearbox’s month-long Co-op Loot Drop event.

Last week, Gearbox announced their intention to keep releasing mini-events throughout the month of May. All of these will be layered on top of Co-op Loot Drop; a month-long event which raises the loot drop chance for Badass enemies providing you’re playing with at least one friend. Most likely, this wealth of new events is aimed at capitalising on an increase in active player numbers. The ongoing COVID-19 situation has, of course, forced many people to either quarantine or self-isolate. As a result, many games have been seeing an increase in their active player counts.

Borderlands 3 Mini Events Trials Take All Begins

Borderlands 3 Mini Events: Slot Machine Mania

The first of the two new events, Slot Machine Mania, takes a similar format as last week’s Door Busters event. While that event put Legendary items in many of Borderlands 3’s vending machines, Slot Machine Mania makes it more likely for players to win Legendary items from slot machines. However, for a bit of added excitement, the chance of “winning” a live grenade have also gone up. Normal loot will still spawn, of course, but the likelihood of it doing so has been reduced.

Borderlands 3 Mini Events: Trials Take All

Meanwhile, the simultaneous Trials Take All mini event follows a similar formula as Takedown Shakedown. Last week, that mission increased enemy loot drop chances for the bosses in Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite. In Trials Take All, the Proving Ground are instead the focus. While the event is active, bosses in the Proving Grounds have a 100% chance to drop loot from their loot pool. As such, the Proving Grounds should be much more lucrative than normal for the next week!
