Borderlands 3 was one of several major current-gen titles which made the transition to next-gen on day one, offering a free next-gen upgrade for all existing owners and launching two new editions of the game. Now, the game is available at a huge discount, with 67% off on digital storefronts for Xbox and PlayStation.
The Latest Borderlands 3 Digital Sale
“Why wait for Black Friday when you can save now?” writes Gearbox; “For a limited time, take advantage of deep discounts on digital versions of Borderlands 3. […] This is a perfect time to pick up a copy for you and your friends and dive into the mayhem.”
This particular digital sale is available until the end of November, giving fans another few days to take advantage of the discount. Specifically, the Borderlands 3 Standard Edition is currently available for 67% off on the PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store. If you want to instead pick up the Borderlands 3 Super Deluxe Edition, that version is currently 40% off. However, that offer is only available on the Microsoft Store.
Of course, thanks to the game’s free next-gen upgrade, it doesn’t matter whether you buy the game on an older console or a next-gen console. Either way, you’ll be able to play the game on both, and take advantage of the next-gen upgrade for the latter. That upgrade, notably, includes full 4K resolution and 60FPS for both single-player and online co-op play. Plus, three- and four-player split-screen multiplayer is available locally on all consoles, including the Xbox Series X and PS5.
This sale discount is due to end on different days depending on which store you’re looking at. The PlayStation Store offer will be active until 11:59 PM PMT / 11:59 PM GMT on the 30th of November. Meanwhile, the two offers on the Microsoft Store will be available for a few extra days. They are due to end on the 3rd of December at 1:59 AM PT.
