Call of Duty: Warzone Operation: Flashback Starts Next Week

Early next week, on the 18th of November, a new limited-time mode will be coming to Call of Duty: Warzone. Available only for a short while, Raven Software is celebrating 18 months of Verdansk with “Operation: Flashback,” featuring unique rewards and plenty of Warzone nostalgia. The mode is part of the lead-up to the start of Season 1 for Call of Duty: Vanguard.

What is Call of Duty: Warone Operation: Flashback?

“While Vanguard gets Shipment and other offerings to supplement its already massive amount of single-player, co-op, and Multiplayer experiences,” writes Activision; “Warzone will be preparing for the end of Verdansk as we know it.”

Call of Duty Warzone Operation Flashback Coming Next Week

On the 18th of November, Operation: Flashback will become available as a limited-time ‘Encore’ mode. The mode is reportedly features; “plenty of surprises that cover Verdansk’s action-packed history”. Full details on this event mode have yet to be revealed by Raven Software. However, fans should expect to hear more about it in the coming days. Indeed, Raven has confirmed that details will be released online sometime prior to the mode’s launch.

What we do know is that two unique rewards will be available for players to unlock. These are a unique Emblem and Calling Card. Players can unlock the Emblem simply by participating in the event. Meanwhile, the Calling Card will require you to win at least one match.

Operation: Flashback is part of an extended roster of new content and events which is leading up to the launch of Call of Duty: Vanguard Season 1. That first season is due to launch for both Vanguard and Warzone on the 2nd of December. Alongside Operation: Flashback, Vanguard will be getting Shipment as a new map. Much more content will be coming in the Season 1 release, of course, including new maps and modes, Zombies content, etc. Warzone will also be getting a full Pacific map and all the content to go along with it.
