The Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Double XP Weekend begins today, Friday, December 14, 2018. In fact, if you are reading this right now, the weekend has already begun for all players. The special limited time event began at 10:00 am PT today and is running through this upcoming weekend. Though we have a start date for this special double experience weekend, we don’t know the end date.
We suspect that since Treyarch states that it will be running “all weekend long” that it will, at the very least, not end until sometime Monday. Regardless, we recommend all players who have been wanting to grind in-game to take advantage of the Black Ops 4 Double XP Weekend. It is available to all players on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Black Ops 4 Double XP Weekend Details
Thankfully, there is no exclusivity timing for the Black Ops 4 Double XP Weekend. Basically, for this weekend, all players will receive double the experience in traditional multiplayer matches and in Zombies, too. In addition, all players will be receiving double the Merits in the Blackout mode as well. There is no better time to grind for those Prestige levels and so on.
The timing of the Black Ops 4 Double XP Weekend is also really great, too. That’s because developer Treyarch released a huge update this week for PS4 players that give them access to a ton of new content in the game. Dubbed Operation Absolute Zero, there is a new Specialist named Zero to unlock. In addition, there is a new Zombies map called Dead of the Night and so much more.
Unfortunately, Xbox One and PC players will have to wait just a bit longer in order to enjoy all of that goodness. For more info on when the new content releases for those platforms, be sure to stay tuned right here at VGR.
