Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Is More Tactical Than Black Ops 3, Here’s How

If you expected Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 to be as fast paced as its predecessor then you’ll be dissapointed. Treyarch reveals that the upcoming title will have a tactical pace and will be slower than Black Ops 3.

The news come from co-head of Treyarch, Dan Bunting during an interview with GamerHub TV. During the interview Bunting revealed that there’s a lot of new features added in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Also, some previous gameplay mechanics helping games being more fast paced and thrilling have been removed, for example, there will be no wall running.

All these changes help Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 being more tactical and having some type of decision making instead of just charging into battle and aiming at everything in sight. The new classes and the small changes in maximum health and weapon balance, will impact the way each match is played, having players think twice before their every action.

Another important addition to the mix is the new heal feature that, with a small cooldown, lets you heal yourself up to full health without the use of a medic. The medic itself is made to help that cause, boosting players’ max HP to a considerable amount. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has implemented a few tactics that remind us of titles like Overwatch. It remains to be seen, however, if that model fits the Call of Duty franchise or not.

For some players, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 was way too fast. Wallrunning through the map and having less health meant that players with high skilled tactics would dominate each match. Changing the pace in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 not only gives players the chance to create new tactics and find ways to win without having that fast pace but also helps new players figure out the game a bit easier, since they won’t be getting one shot constantly.
