Captain Price Comes to Blackout as Modern Warfare Pre-Order Bonus
Captain Price, the classic character from Call of Duty’s Modern Warfare series, is returning in the upcoming reboot Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Now, gamers who buy a Modern Warfare pre-order can play as Captain Price in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode, thanks to a new pre-order bonus.
How to Play as Captain Price in Blackout Today
As of a few days ago, a new pre-order bonus is available to anybody who buys a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare pre-order. Don’t worry if you already pre-ordered, as anybody who did has gotten this bonus retroactively! Currently, this is only available on the PS4, but other platforms will reportedly follow soon. The bonus gives you the ability to unlock and play as “Classic” Captain Price in the Blackout mode of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. However, you do need to go through a set of steps in order to access the playable character.
Note that if you’ve already pre-ordered a physical copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, you’ll need to contact the retailer who sold it to you and request a redeem code to unlock Classic Price. If you pre-ordered a digital copy, you should receive a redeem code for Classic Price automatically. Once you have your code, you need to log into either your Network or Activision account. There, you can redeem the code to unlock Classic Price in your game. If you haven’t yet pre-ordered, you’ll get a code for Classic Price when you place your pre-order; regardless of whether you pre-order a digital or physical copy.
With the code redeemed, you’ll be able to choose Classic Price as a playable character in Blackout straight away. Well, if you own the game on PS4, that is. The character will be available on other platforms soon, according to Activision. However, the publisher hasn’t yet given specific dates for when he will be available.
