Cole Kmet Leads Madden 21 Rookie Ratings for Tight Ends

The latest of the Madden 21 rookie ratings are in and the Chicago Bears’ Cole Kmet ranks atop the list for new tight ends. On Wednesday, it was revealed that the former Notre Dame TE has a 70 overall rating in the upcoming video game. That is better than just a point by the next-best player, a new Patriots roster member.

Cole Kmet, Devin Asiasi lead Madden 21 rookie ratings for TE

The Checkdown tweeted out a look at which four players lead the Madden 21 rookie ratings at the tight end position. The No. 43 pick Cole Kmet will catch passes for the Bears from either Mitchell Trubisky or Nick Foles in the upcoming season. The EA Madden ratings adjustors believe he’s the best of the rookie class when it comes to TEs, giving him a 70 overall.

He’s followed by the New England Patriots’ newest tight end, Devin Asiasi. New England is hoping he’ll be able to become a key part of the offense along with new quarterback Cam Newton. Asiasi earns a 69 OVR.

The New Orleans Saints’ Adam Trautman and Cleveland Browns’ Harrison Bryant are third and fourth. They have a 68 OVR, and 67 OVR, respectively.

Kmet’s rating puts him below several of the other top rookies in their positional groups. That includes quarterback Joe Burrow (76 OVR), wide receiver Henry Ruggs III (76 OVR), and cornerback Jeff Okudah (76 OVR).

Kmet amongst Rookie Premiere options

We’ve seen a number of the Madden 21 rookie ratings now for different players available in the Rookie Premiere program. They include the aforementioned Burrow and Okudah who each have 76 OVRs. The Bears’ Cole Kmet is the latest, as it appears he’ll begin the new game with a 70 OVR.

Gamers who acquired Kmet’s RP card in Madden 20, will automatically get a dynamic Cole Kmet card in Madden 21. As he gets performance or promotional upgrades this NFL season, his dynamic card will upgrade in conjunction with them.

The exchange sets and Token purchase offer all expired on July 13. However, for those who missed out on building the various Rookie Premiere sets, there may still be one option available.

The only remaining exchange set is the MUT Master Completion Exchange. This involves completing each of the MUT Journey series in the game. Upon completion of the final series of Journeys, gamers get a MUT Master Completion Token. This can be exchanged for 10 Rookie Premiere Tokens allowing for trade for one of the 10 RP cards.
