Where to Find All Collectibles and Loot in God of War’s Helheim Tower

When you arrive at the Lake of Nine in God of War, you will quickly learn that there are a number of realm towers scattered around the region. These landmarks feature in various Favors and such. However, each is laden with loot and collectibles unrelated to specific quests. Helheim Tower is one of these locations, and can be cleared out fairly quickly. As a result, it’s well worth stopping by in the early game.

Helheim Tower can be found north of Tyr’s Temple in the Lake of Nine. You will find Reavers waiting on the dock, so clear them out. The first collectible to find is lying near the walls of the tower; a piece of the Abandon Ship collectible set. While there is more to the tower here, you will not be able to explore it until later in the game’s story (see below).

Exploring Around Helheim Tower

Head along the eastern part of the beach, in the direction of the statues of oarsmen. There, you can climb to an area where you can find one of Sindri’s shops. From there, look for another wall that you can climb. At the top, turn right and find a shadowy path that leads close to the oarsmen statues. There, you will find a corpse and some hacksilver.

From there, head back towards Sindri and climb up another wall. At the top is a chest laden with hacksilver. You will also find a pair of gates which lead into the Court of the Valkyries. If you plan on defeating all of God of War’s fearsome Valkyrie bosses, you will return here with their helmets to unlock the path to Sigrun, the final and most dangerous boss in the game.

After Lowering the Water

The Statue on Helheim Tower's Beach Will Awaken Later in the Game

Once you lower the water level of the Lake of Nine, a lower beach will become exposed outside Helheim Tower. Clear out the Nightmares lurking on the beach and collect the Island of Light treasure map. You can also find a statue of a troll. While immobile now, once you complete The Black Rune quest, the troll will awaken and become a Death Eater. This powerful boss fights in a similar fashion to other troll bosses, but can also cause pillars to erupt from the ground. If one of the pillars hits you, it will cause blindness. Fortunately, you can throw Kratos’ axe at them to destroy them.
