It’s been a while since the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy remasters. The remasters were well-received, and ever since, fans have been hoping for a fresh installment in the series. If you have been wanting a new Crash Bandicoot game, it turns out you might get your way. According to Portuguese journalist Guru, there could be a Crash Bandicoot PS5 exclusive on the way.
What We Know About the Possible Crash Bandicoot PS5 Exclusive
Guru made the following tweet regarding the possibility of a Crash Bandicoot exclusive for PlayStation 5:
Translated, the text reads, “It has been in development for 3 years, and soon, the Marketing campaign should start with the hands of Activision. I was told it will be one of the PS5 ad games. It may contain some kind of exclusivity, but it has not been defined yet.”
This seems to suggest that either as a timed or permanent exclusive, the new game will be used to help promote the PlayStation 5. As a journalist, Guru may be onto something. But keep in mind that regardless, this is just a rumor, and nothing here is solid yet.
In the meantime, it is possible that there could be production delays impacting the launch of PS5 and Xbox Series X. We don’t know whether these snags will alter the launch date or not, or the availability of each console or its price. Analysts are still giving a range of price predictions for the new consoles, mainly between $450 and $600, depending on how they expect supply and demand will play out. The $600 price point assumes high demand and a reduced supply. The $450 prediction assumes demand will be low due to a variety of plausible factors.
