Curse of the Vampire Coast Roster Revealed for Total War: Warhammer 2

Curse of the Vampire Coast was announced by Creative Assembly two weeks ago, and will be the next major DLC for Total War: Warhammer 2. Until now, Creative Assembly had offered fans some details of the four Legendary Lords who lead the new Vampire Coast faction. However, they had shown little of the faction’s actual units. That changed today when the studio live-streamed a detailed look at the new Vampire Coast unit roster.

The Curse of the Vampire Coast DLC Unit Roster

The live-stream shows off the four upcoming Legendary Lords, of course, and how their various armies will differ. Luthor Harkon, Count Noctilus, Aranessa Saltspite, and Cylostra Direfin all come with different abilities and skills, as well as some unique unit choices. For instance, it was revealed that Aranessa Saltspite will be able to recruit units of human Free Company from Sartosa. They appear to be similar to the Empire unit of the same name. Cylostra Direfin will even be able to summon ghostly versions of some Bretonnian knights.

The new Vampire Coast faction will be bringing a new Lore of Magic with it; the Lore of the Deep. However, the army’s spell-casters will also have access to the existing Lore of Vampires and Lore of Shadow. Most notable, of course, were the actual units shown during the hour-long livestream. The developers only showed a few brief moments of actual combat at the end of the stream. However, they did give detailed looks at every standard unit in-game. The Vampire Coast roster includes a mix of zombie frontline units, zombies armed with an array of firearms and heavy cannons, and terrifying monsters. The stream highlights new beasts like the Necrofex Colossi and the Rotting Leviathan; a massive hermit-crab-like tank of a beast with the wreck of a ship for its shell.

Curse of the Vampire Coast Features an Entirely New Faction

Curse of the Vampire Coast is due to release on PC on the 8th of November. The faction and a wide variety of new gameplay mechanics will be coming to the game anyway for free, but players must purchase the DLC to actually use the faction themselves in campaign and multiplayer. Otherwise, the Vampire Coast will only appear as an AI-controlled faction.
