Just days after the release of Hotfix 1.04, CD Projekt Red has rolled out Cyberpunk 2077 Hotfix 1.05 on both Xbox and PlayStation consoles. The patch will be coming soon to PC, so PC players should expect it within the next day or so. As expected, the patch includes a long list of bug-fixes and other improvements.
Cyberpunk 2077 Hotfix 1.05 Patch Notes
Like Hotfix 1.04, Cyberpunk 2077 Hotfix 1.05 starts with a large number of specific bug-fixes. Many of these are bugs unique to certain quests, such as, for example; “Elevator doors should now correctly open in The Heist”. While all of these fixes are good steps forward, they are also fairly minor steps in the grand scheme of things. Players should not expect this hotfix to fix everything by any stretch; rather, this is merely the latest batch of fixes on a road which will likely take a couple of months at best.

When it comes to gameplay, this hotfix only makes a couple of improvements, but one in particular could have a noteworthy impact on gameplay; improving the reaction times for NPCs taking cover. This could help to address complaints of the game’s AI being slow or clumsy in combat. When it comes to visuals, the patch corrects a number of specific glitches, such as silencer icons displaying with no image in the player’s inventory.
As to be expected, the hotfix lists “multiple stability improvements,” under Performance & Stability, although players may be more reassured to learn that this includes several crash fixes. Consoles also get some specific fixes which aren’t necessary for PC. The full patch notes for Hotfix 1.05 can be found here. Also listed are some PC-specific fixes, mostly related to ray tracing, AMD optimisation, and issues with the Steam overlay. Hopefully, these changes are starting to make a difference for players frustrated with the game’s buggy performance. However, as stated above, CD Projekt Red are likely to be fixing problems through into early 2021.
