Death Stranding Will be Coming to PC in One Week’s Time

Although it launched to mixed reviews, Death Stranding was nonetheless one of the most successful games of 2019 (and one of the most successful PS4 exclusives in general). Now, after a very long wait, the game is finally coming to PC. After a short delay due to COVID-19, Kojima Productions has now revealed the PC port’s release date; Death Stranding will be coming to PC in one week’s time, on the 14th of July.

Death Stranding PC Launches on the 14th of July

The Death Stranding PC edition is now available to pre-order ahead of its 14th of July launch date. The game, which is available on both Steam and the Epic Games Store, also has a few new features coming for PC. The most obvious is the addition of a full Photo Mode. “You can take shots from the game and change angles, color, frames, and filters to create your original shots,” explains Kojima Productions, in a recent tweet.

Death Stranding PC in One Week 2

PC gamers have been waiting a very long time for the PC port of Death Stranding. Despite the fact that it’s been eight months since the game’s PS4 launch, the PC version was originally announced just a week after that original release date. At the time, fans had no idea how long they might have to wait. Now, finally, that wait is over, and thankfully, early reports of the game’s quality on PC have been very good. In fact, the game even features new bonus content for its Steam release, featuring both Half-Life and Portal -themed cosmetics.

The PC port’s minimum specifications do run below the quality of the PS4. However, the game’s recommended specs far exceed that of its console version. In fact, the recommended specs, which allow for both 1080p and 60fps, don’t actually demand insanely high-end hardware. As such, they should be relatively accessible for most PC gamers.
