Destiny 2: Complete Patch Notes for Hotfix 2.6.0.4

Shadowkeep was released 2 weeks ago in Destiny 2 and since then players have encountered and stopped the Darkness deep within the Moon (yes, the actual Darkness), faced the Vex Invasion all across the Solar System and fought back. The most important things in this expansion are probably Armor 2.0 and the new artifact system which is allowing players to gain infinite Power Level in a Season according to the way they play Destiny 2. Yesterday, Bungie deployed a Hotfix 2.6.0.4 in Destiny 2 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Below, you can read complete patch notes for the hotfix update.

Destiny 2: Hotfix 2.6.0.4 Patch Notes

Destiny 2 Hotfix 2.6.0.4

 General

  • Fixed an issue where certain characters in player names and clan fields could cause Squirrel and Weasel errors
    • Clan names should no longer be truncated
  • Fixed an issue where Nightmare hunts Time Trial Master triumph would not progress correctly
  • Fixed an issue where Nightfall: The Ordeal would not drop a powerful reward for players who had already completed the Vanguard Strikes Challenge
  • Fixed an issue that provoked the temporary deactivation of rally banners and the “Tire Game” in the Sanctuary vendor space on the Moon
  • Fixed an issue where the Servitor spawning in the Gofannon forge could crash the game
  • Fixed an issue where running the game as an admin could create a “steam_appid.txt” file that would cause a crash
  • Tuned matchmaking in patrol destinations to increase the player population

These are the changes that the hotfix 2.6.0.4 has brought to the game. Bungie has finally tuned the server population in the game as well. Before that, despite having 200k+ players playing the game on PC, I was patrolling alone on the Moon which was kind of annoying. Glad they tuned it well.

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep is now live on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, released on October 1, 2019, and later in November on Google Stadia.
