Destiny 2 Forsaken: When and Where to Watch The Last Wish World’s First Race

Later today, Destiny 2: Forsaken’s new raid experience The Last Wish will officially launch and the race to see which fireteam can claim world’s first honors will begin. If you want to know exactly when and where you can watch the race for yourself, you’ve come to the right place.

The Last Wish Raid

*Minor spoilers for the Destiny 2: Forsaken story campaign follow*

The Last Wish raid will act as the culmination of the new story arc which began with the Forsaken expansion’s launch earlier this month. With Uldren Sov dead and the way to the Dreaming City made open, Petra Venj has managed to contact the long-though-dead Awoken Queen Mara Sov who has given Guardians one clear directive: find the corruption infesting the Dreaming City and cut out its heart.

What exactly the source of the corruption is remains a mystery for now, but the first group of players who successfully reach and defeat it will earn themselves no small amount of prestige and bragging rights. Bungie will also be offering all members of the world’s first fireteam a number of pretty awesome rewards which include the following:

The Destiny 2 Last Wish World's First belt.

Any fireteams that finish The Last Wish within the first 24 hours of its launch will also receive an exclusive “Wish Ascended” in-game emblem. Lastly, players who clear the raid before September 18 will be eligible to purchase a personalized Last Wish raid jacket from the Bungie Store by using a special Bungie Rewards code.

When to Watch

The Last Wish will officially open its doors at 10 a.m. PST (1 p.m. EST). Dedicated raiders have no doubt spent the last week and a half furiously preparing themselves (both mentally and in terms of their Guardian’s power level) for the raid’s launch. Thankfully, one notable quality-of-life change will make the downtime a little more bearable should a fireteam end up wiping during a tough encounter.

Where to Watch

Earlier this week, The Last Wish got its very own cinematic trailer which also disclosed the web link fans can go to if they want to watch the world’s first raid live. The link, watch.twitch.tv/lastwish, isn’t yet live (for now it merely redirects to the Destiny 2 category of Twitch’s browse function), but once the race is on fans will be able to follow right alongside as fireteams clamber to be the world’s first. The race will also likely be broadcast via Bungie’s own Twitch channel.
