Destiny 2: How to Earn The Arbalest Exotic Weapon During The Revelry

As part of Destiny 2’s currently ongoing Revelry event, players can earn a unique new Exotic weapon called the Arbalest. What makes the Arbalest unique is that it’s Destiny 2’s very first kinetic linear fusion rifle. There’s a guaranteed method for unlocking the Arbalest during The Revelry, and this guide outlines that method in full.

Destiny 2 Arbalest guide

Revelry vendor Eva Levante has the Arbalest available for purchase, but she requires a unique type of currency. While The Revelry is active, players earn Reveler’s Essence by completing virtually any activity type. The Arbalest costs 300 Reveler’s Essence, which sounds like a lot on paper but actually isn’t too hard to save up. However, merely gathering the 300 Reveler’s Essence isn’t quite enough.

Players also need to complete the ‘Party Hard’ Revelry meta-triumph before Eva will sell them the Arbalest. Completing the Party Hard triumph requires completing any seven of the 10 standard Revelry triumphs that are available. For reference, here are all 10 standard Revelry triumphs:

  • Spring Cleaning: Clear 50 Verdant Forest branches
  • Verdant Light: Competitive: Generate 200 Orbs of Light in Gambit or Crucible
  • Verdant Light: Cooperative: Generate 200 Orbs of Light in Strikes or raids
  • Verdant Light: Events: Generate 200 Orbs of Light in the Verdant Forest or any Black Armory forge
  • Spring Hunt: Defeat at least three bosses in a single run of the Verdant Forest
  • Budding Fashion: Defeat 20 bosses while wearing at least four pieces of Inaugural Revelry armor
  • Super Celebratory: Defeat 150 enemies with Supers
  • Fireworks!: Get 100 grenade kills in Crucible, Gambit, and Strikes
  • Melee Mayhem: Get 100 melee kills in Crucible, Gambit, and Strikes
  • A Bountiful Spring: Complete 50 daily and weekly bounties for Eva

Note that for the ‘Budding Fashion’ triumph, only Inaugural Revelry armor counts, the Eververse-exclusive Vernal Growth armor does not. Completing all 10 triumphs also unlocks a second ‘Party Harder’ meta-triumph and a unique emblem. With both 300 Reveler’s Essence and the Party Hard triumph completed, players can claim the Arbalest for themselves.

If you’re wondering how to efficiently work through The Revelry’s Verdant Forest activity, we’ve got a guide for that too.
