Bungie just released Part II of Luke Smith’s Director’s Cut. In Part I, he discussed this past year of Destiny 2 (starting from Annual Pass – The Black Armory). Director’s Cut: Part II covers every new thing revealed in yesterday’s Armor 2.0 Live Stream (and some other stuff as well). For instance, Luke Smith said the Destiny 2: New Light players will be starting off at a much higher Power Level than they used to, this fall in Shadowkeep.
In the blog-post, Luke Smith revealed that every Destiny 2 player who wants to build their new character won’t have to go through all of the campaign missions, quests, etc, just to play with their friends from that specific character. Instead, he said that Destiny 2: New Light players (and old players with new characters) will start off their in-game grind from 750 Power Level (Light Level) where Season of Opulence left off.
This will minimize the need for all of those grinding the same missions all over again, and you can straight up jump in action with your Friends. On top of that, every item in your Vault and Inventory will automatically be upgraded to Power Level 750. So, you don’t have to waste any more Enhancement Cores on Infusion. Here’s what Luke Smith said in his blog-post:
We’re setting the Power this Fall to 750 for both returning and new players. We want you to all be together when Shadowkeep opens. Here’s what this means:
Destiny 2: Shadowkeep will be hitting PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, on October 1, 2019, and later in November on Google Stadia.
