Destiny 2: Nightmare Hunts Teased – 3 Difficulty Levels with Matchmaking

Back in June, when Bungie first revealed Shadowkeep, it came with some big surprises – one being the Bungie-Activision split. During the reveal stream, Bungie talked about what they’ve been working on for the past 6 months. And with that, they revealed the most anticipated and most awaited feature for Destiny – Cross Save. Cross Save will finally allow players to play Destiny 2 on any platform they want without losing their in-game progress. Last month, Bungie teased some of the features that are coming this fall with Shadowkeep – Nightmare Hunts being one of them.

Nightmare Hunts Coming with Shadowkeep

Earlier today, Xbox tweeted a short interview with Bungie Director Ben Wommack and Community Manager David Dague (DeeJ on Twitter). In that interview, they revealed some really interesting stuff regarding Shadowkeep. They showed us the first look at the full Moon’s Map on the Director. It comes with four (new and old) locations and a new Raid “Garden of Salvation.”

On the revealed map, we can see there will be three Nightmare Hunts included in Shadowkeep. At this point, we don’t know the names of all three, but we do know the one that is – Nightmare Hunt: Servitude. It says “Defeat the Nightmare of Zydron, Gate Lord.” Now, if you don’t know, Crota, Aksis, Omnigul, and Skolas are confirmed to be returning as Nightmares this fall.

Difficulty Levels and Modifiers

With each difficulty level, the number of Modifiers will increase. Keep in mind, this is a match-made activity. Below, you can find every shown Modifier for Nightmare Hunt: Servitude:

  • Air Superiority

  • Champions Barrier
  • Torment of Zydron
  • Equipment Locked

Now, these modifiers could be rotating every week, we don’t know that at the time of writing this article. We hope to get more information about this later this month.

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep will be hitting PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, on October 1, 2019, and later in November on Google Stadia.
