Destiny 2: Here Are The New Season of Opulence Pinnacle Weapons

The launch of Destiny 2’s Season of Opulence is right around the corner, arriving in full on June 4. Ahead of said launch, Bungie has revealed the new season’s three brand new pinnacle weapons. As before, these new weapons are tied to Destiny 2’s Crucible, Vanguard Strike, and Gambit activities.

Bungie listed the new pinnacle weapons on this Season of Opulence roundup page on its website. Each weapon has a unique perk that’s not found on any other weapon in the game. The perks are suitably powerful given how much effort (and time) is needed to earn pinnacle weapons.

For Vanguard Strikes, the new pinnacle weapon is a grenade launcher called Wendigo GL3. When wielding the Wendigo, you’ll want to equip gear and abilities that boost your Orb of Light-generating capabilities. This is because picking up an orb triggers the Wendigo’s perk, buffing both its blast radius and damage. The buff assumedly has a limited duration, though it’s not clear if it’s a stacking buff or not.

As for the Crucible pinnacle weapon, it’s a sniper rifle called Revoker. This new weapon sounds like an ideal fit for sniping newbies who want to improve their skills. Thanks to its unique perk, any missed shots are automatically returned to Revoker’s magazine after a short duration.

Lastly, there’s the Gambit pinnacle weapon, a bow called Hush. Interestingly enough, Hush’s unique perk encourages wielders to score precision hits without aiming down the sights. Doing so triggers the perk, granting a sizeable buff to draw speed. If you’re quick on the draw, Hush might just be the weapon for you.

The associated tasks for the new pinnacle weapons haven’t yet been revealed, and likely won’t be until the season’s launch. Previous pinnacle weapon quests have been season-long endeavors involving a series of activity-specific tasks. Crucible weapons, for example, usually involve reaching the Fabled competitive rank. New pinnacle weapons are just a small part of Destiny 2’s Season of Opulence. The new season will also introducing a brand new PvE activity called the Menagerie.
