Destiny 2’s Shattered Throne Activity Will Have Limited Availability

Destiny 2 developer Bungie still has plenty of secrets and surprises to share via the game’s Forsaken expansion. This is particularly true when it comes to the expansion’s Dreaming City endgame region. The first wave of such surprises came when the Dreaming City’s new raid was conquered. Over the following weeks even more new content was discovered, including a unique sort of “mini-raid” experience called the Shattered Throne.

Destiny 2's Shattered Throne will return in three weeks.

Destiny 2’s Shattered Throne

Only the best of the best have any hope of surviving the Shattered Throne’s challenges. Doing so is well worth the effort though since it’s the only way to earn the Wish-Ender Exotic bow. However, as Bungie recently noted in its most recent This Week at Bungie blog post, the Shattered Throne (and by extension the opportunity to earn the Wish-Ender) will only be available during very specific timeframes.

According to Bungie, the Dreaming City’s Taken curse will die down when the game’s next weekly reset occurs (i.e. tomorrow). Players won’t be able to access the Shattered Throne during this time. The dungeon will then re-open after another three-week cycle has passed. This cycle will continue into the foreseeable future, with the Shattered Throne becoming available every third week in the cycle.

Going by the three-week schedule, the Shattered Throne should next become available during the week of October 16. After that, players will have to wait until the week of November 6. The mini-raid experience is quite demanding, having a recommended power level of 590. However, if you want to add the Wisher-Ender to your arsenal you’ll have to successfully complete its trials. At the very least, you can rest easy knowing you’ll have multiple opportunities to finish the Shattered Throne in the future.
