Official Download Times for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season One

In just a couple of days’ time, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season One will finally be launching, following its delay from last week. The season is likely to prove bigger than many of Modern Warfare’s post-launch seasons, with a huge amount of new content coming to both Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone.

Black Ops Cold War Season One – Launch Times

When Black Ops Cold War Season One launches this week, players will need to complete several different downloads, available at different times. The first has actually already released, however; a preparatory Season One update rolled out across all platforms at 11:00 PM PT on the 7th of December. That update included various bug-fixes and quality-of-life improvements, designed to prepare the game for the season launch. Of course, much of the new content in this update isn’t accessible yet, and won’t be until the 16th.

Two further content updates will be coming for Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. The first of these, for Black Ops Cold War, will be rolling out on the 15th of December. The Warzone update, meanwhile, will be launching on the following day. In all likelihood, each of these updates will become available to download at 11:00 PM PT. Once the second update has been rolled out, Season One will officially launch on the 16th. At that point, all new content will become accessible.

Notably, Warzone is set to gain a major content integration, bringing most of Black Ops Cold War’s armoury to the game. This includes more than 30 weapons, vehicles, and equipment, in addition to the game’s Operators. This content will be available to play on the new Rebirth Island map. Official patch notes for the upcoming Season One updates are not available yet. However, they will presumably be released on Treyarch’s Game Intel blog closer to their launch.
