EA Access and Origin Access Members Will Be Able to Play Battlefield V Early

In what is perhaps the least surprising bit of news for the day, Electronic Arts and DICE have confirmed that members of the EA Access and Origin Access subscription services will be able to try out a free early trial of Battlefield V several days before the game’s public launch.

EA Access and Origin Access subscribers can get in on the action early.

Those who are subscribed to either EA Access (which is currently only available on Xbox One) or Origin Access (which is only available on PC) can begin the free Battlefield V trial on October 11, well ahead of the game’s October 19 release date. As has been the case with past EA/Origin Access trial periods, the Battlefield V trial will allow users to play up to 10 hours of the game. The trial will include select missions from Battlefield V’s single-player campaign as well as the large-scale multiplayer component, though there’s no specific word on whether or not the planned battle royale mode will be accessible to trial users.

In order to keep playing Battlefield V after the 10-hour trial, users will naturally have to purchase a full copy of the game, though the digital EA products discount afforded to EA/Origin Access subscribers should help a bit in that regard. Buyers who spring for Battlefield V’s $79.99 Deluxe Edition can also get a head start since they’ll be able to hop in and play on October 16. No doubt there will be a few dedicated superfans out there who utilize both the EA/Origin Access trial and the Deluxe Edition head start to put themselves way ahead of the curve by the time Battlefield V releases for all on October 19.

If you’re not already subscribed to either EA Access or Origin Access, a subscription to either service will cost you $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year. In other recent Battlefield V news, DICE recently explained how the game’s multiplayer companies and cosmetic items will function.
