EA Sports UFC 3 Simulates UFC 232 Cyborg Vs. Nunes In New Highlights Video

This coming Saturday, mixed martial arts fans will be cheering on their favorites as UFC 232 arrives in California. The main event at The Forum in Inglewood, California brings Jon “Bones” Jones back to the Octagon as he battles Alexander Gustafsson. However, there’s also a huge matchup from the women’s divisions as Amanda Nunes takes on UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion Cris Cyborg.

Cris Cyborg and Amanda Nunes are two of the best in the women’s MMA world. Cyborg has been nothing but dominant since she’s fought. The 5-foot-8 Brazilian star holds an impressive 20-1-1 record over the course of her MMA career. That includes 17 knockout victories. Basically, Cyborg hasn’t lost a fight since 2005, and she’s defeated the likes of Gina Carano, Shayna Baszler, and former champion Holly Holm during her run.

That said Nunes is no easy opponent. Also hailing from Brazil and 5-foot-8, she’s compiled a record of 16-4-0 with 11 knockout victories. Doubtful spectators can just look at the list of opponents over her past several victories. They included a TKO against Shayna Baszler in 2015 and then a UFC Women’s Bantamweight title win against Miesha Tate via submission in 2016. From there, she defended the belt three times successfully, including a huge win over all-time women’s great Ronda Rousey.

Ahead of the huge showdown, EA provided a UFC 3 simulation video with highlights of the fight (below).

It’s the latest in the line of UFC 3 simulations ahead of big PPV matchups. A previous edition included Khabib vs. McGregor. There was also a UFC 3 simulation for Holloway vs. Ortega before their battle in the Octagon.

As shown in the entertaining one-minute simulation video, Cyborg lands a huge shot in the third round. The Featherweight champion rocks Nunes with a punch to the face, dropping her near the Octagon wall. From there, she attacks with more punches until the referee calls for the fight. That means based on the UFC 232 simulation, Cyborg will be victorious once again.

Plenty of MMA fans might be expecting the same thing this coming weekend. However, the anticipation of a potential upset is always there. Will Nunes be able to grab a victory from the superior Cris Cyborg? Check out another simulation video a gamer posted to YouTube.

The UFC 232 PPV arrives this Saturday (Dec. 29) from California with a start time of 10 p.m. Eastern Time (7 p.m. Pacific Time). For more information check out the UFC.com website.
