Even DOOM Eternal’s Music Will Be Hell, Nothing Is Random

Mick Gordon, who composed the excellent soundtrack for the previous DOOM installments, is also creating DOOM Eternal’s music. He shared an exciting finding recently on his official Twitter account that is not random at all. The numbers are as evil as the game itself.

You thought that Hell was brought to Earth by accident? It seems that in the upcoming DOOM sequel nothing is accidental. Mick Gordon, however, recently claimed otherwise through his sarcastic tweet on his official Twitter account. Apparently, the numbers behind DOOM are also as evil as the game itself.

“Totally legit, completely-accidental start time of this scene.”

Do you believe him? When DOOM Eternal finally comes out, everyone is going to be posting something like “That DOOM Eternal song starts at 0:00.666.” Knowing Mick Gordon’s epic music, it is pretty evident that the song that starts at that time will undoubtedly be the darkest in the entire game. We cannot wait to listen to his choice for that particular scene of DOOM Eternal.

Furthermore, if the song is scheduled to start at that devilish time, what will the scene be all about? Since Hell is coming on Earth in the next title of the DOOM franchise, maybe it will accompany this transition. It would also be exciting if it were to follow Doomguy’s arrival on Earth at the beginning of the game. We saw during the teaser trailer at E3 2018 that he lands on Earth to chase after all those demons and monsters. Maybe that piece is composed precisely for that moment.

We might not know its release date yet, but the gameplay will be showcased during August’s 2018 QuakeCon. There is not any way of knowing whether the official trailer will feature this song Mick Gordon is referring to. However, Hell will come to Earth soon, and it will bring a lot of impressive pieces. We hope they are as exciting as the previous ones.
