Everything We Know So Far About Rocksteady’s Rumored Superman Video Game

We have been hearing so many stories about Rocksteady Studio’s proposed Superman game. We even tried to guess its probable name while only two days ago people were talking about a supposedly leaked poster of the game.  What is true and what is not true?

For starters, Rocksteady never talked specifically about a Superman video game. The company did tease working on something for a long time that will probably be appearing on its July 2018 cover, but never revealed to which game it was referring.

Shortly after the revelation of this unknown game in progress, Playstation Lifestyle suggested that a suitable title for a Superman video game would be the “World’s Finest.” This title dates back several decades in DC Comics history and carries major significance, as it is used to describe Superman and Batman when they work together as a team.

More rumors on the subject were referring to the plot of the game and how possible it is for Braniac to be the main villain. However, considering that the Brainiac storyline is extended and completed in the MMORP video game DC Universe Online, I find it highly unlikely the developers would choose Brainiac as the main villain again, but let’s not forget that all these are merely speculations and we really do not know anything about this new game.

Only two days ago someone posted the following picture on 4chan along with the fact that the Superman game will be at E3:

Following this post, a Twitter user tweeted the same picture with some other details for the game including what I mentioned earlier about the main villain being Brainiac.

Let’s not get our hopes up, though, since we do not have accurate information from Rocksteady Studio. Nevertheless, it would be all too exciting if there would be a new Superman video game. As I was searching for more clues, I stumbled on another tweet from another user who made a very interesting discovery. The user tweeted about his thoughts on the possibility of this new game being a Justice League one and not a Superman one. His logic is that if you search for the website justiceleaguegame.com, it will redirect you to a new Warner Bros site, not opened yet. This is rather weird considering all the rumors about the Superman game release. What are the chances?
