It’s been some time since we have seen any fresh PS5 concept images. Sometimes people post them with claims that they are the real deal. More honest posters openly state that they are sharing concept images only. Now, a user on Reddit has posted some new PS5 concept images, and they are stunning.

A user named ruddi2020 made a post titled, “PS5 Console Concept with Game Case – Inspired by the dev kit with maximum air flow for cooling.” In the post, he shares a series of angles showing his PS5 design concept from a variety of angles.
It is a clever and aesthetically appealing design, featuring color contrasts and angles that are evocative of the design for the DualSense controller. Additionally, it draws inspiration from the dev kit images we have seen in the past with regards to its shape. But it is a little more streamlined and a little less blocky than those images. In that regard, it seems more fitting of typical modern design elements. The dev kit, frankly, looked pretty retro (of course, retro is “in” right now).
The concept artist makes no attempt to claim that he “knows” this is what the console will look like. But we think that his PS5 concept images seem more logical than others we have seen in the past, which seemed more arbitrary. Given his synthesis of the devkit and DualSense elements, we think he could be onto something. If the PS5 does end up looking like this, we’re going to love it.
