Latest Far Cry 5 Update Adds an HD Texture Pack for PC

Ubisoft has released the latest patch for Far Cry 5; patch 1.11. As per usual for a Far Cry 5 update, the patch addresses a variety of bugs and issues. Particularly, it addresses several bugs within the Dead Living Zombies DLC, as this is the first patch to release since the launch of the third DLC pack. Most notably, however, patch 1.11 introduces an official HD Textures Pack for PC.

Far Cry 5 Patch 1.11 Adds HD Texture Pack Support

Patch 1.11 launched two days for Far Cry 5 across all platforms; Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The largest set of individual additions comes in in-game items; the patch adds six new masks, three new weapons, and 3 new vehicles. The new weapons are the P08-L, the “Neon Sparkle” Flamethrower, and the “Blood & Dragon” MBP .50. The new vehicles, on the other hand, are the “Cyber Edition” 1970 Zugspitz XS-2, the “Surface to Surface” 2014 Adjudicator Mastadon XZT, and the “Hot Rockets” 2012 Kimberlite TCZ. The six new masks are all drawn from other Ubisoft franchises. The Kensei mask comes from For Honor, the Wrench mask comes from Watch Dogs, the Day of the Skull and El Tio masks come from Ghost Recon, and the Robber and Biker masks come from Rabbids.

The New Far Cry 5 Update Fixes Bugs in Dead Living Zombies

The latest patch addresses bugs and stability issues across the game, including in the Arcade mode and Dead Living Zombies. The biggest new addition, however, is a PC exclusive feature; an HD Textures Pack for Far Cry 5 on PC. With this new pack, Far Cry 5 should look even more impressive than it already does. Unfortunately for console users, this feature is not coming to the Xbox or PlayStation; most likely because consoles are unable to handle the level of quality introduced by the pack. Of course, PC users will likely need an up-to-date graphics package to make use of the new Texture Pack.
