As with previous months in the FIFA 19 game, it’s time to take a look at the newest FIFA 19 Player of the Month for Premier League action. The latest winner comes from quite the list of nominees from clubs including Arsenal, Bournemouth, Burnley, and South Hampton. However, it was one of Manchester United’s two nominees who took home FIFA 19 Player of the Month for January’s Premier League honors.

Among the nominees a week ago for the monthly honor was Burnley’s Tom Heaton and Bournemouth’s Joshua King. There was also Arsenal’s Alexandre Lacazette and Southhampton’s James Ward-Prowse. Two Manchester United stars rounded out the nominees with Marcus Rashford and Victor Lindelof.

All of these players were deserving of the Premier League POTM nod, but only one could take home the win. That was none other than United’s Marcus Rashford. The striker played a total of 356 minutes last month and netted three goals on 21 shots he attempted. He also scored a passing accuracy of 86 percent for the month.

Rashford tweeted about winning FIFA 19 POTM calling it an “honor” and thanking his teammates and fans for it.

Rashford follows in the footsteps of previous FIFA 19 POTM winners. They’ve included Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk for December and Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling for November. The honor isn’t just one for Rashford, but also one for fans who complete special Squad Building Challenges (SBCs). By doing so, they can earn the special Marcus Rashford POTM FUT card. It’s untradeable and exclusive to the SBC with great numbers.

Usually, the SBCs involve unique challenges that are specific to the winning POTM’s nationality, club, and opponents they’ve scored on in the past month. His 87-rated purple POTM SBC card brings plenty of brag about too. It contains a 96 Pace, 88 Shooting, and 88 Dribbling, as well as 83 Passing. It’s a welcome addition for many FUT rosters if gamers put in the time and effort to achieve it.
