FIFA 19 TOTW 40 Revealed: Lineup Includes Iniesta, Paulinho Upgrades Among New FUT Cards

It’s a new week and that means a new Team of the Week. EA unveiled the FIFA 19 TOTW 40 on Wednesday with their latest choices for the top footballers from the pitch recently. Among the latest upgraded cards are Iniesta, Paulinho, and Tore Reginussen leading the way. Let’s take a look at this week’s FIFA 19 Team of the Week 40 lineup including Starting XI, Substitutes, and Reserves.

FIFA 19 TOTW 40 starting XI boasts Iniesta, Paulinho upgrades

Last week’s FIFA TOTW 39 is on the way out in favor of the 40th installment. There aren’t any 90-rated-or-higher players to see here. However, one star comes close as Vissel Kobe star Iniesta gets an 88 player card for FIFA 19 TOTW 40. His new card features 91 Dribbling and 89 Passing on the front along with a 71 Shooting. It’s not one that will be lighting up too many opponents but still draws interest from some gamers.

China Super League star Paulinho joins him with the next best-card at 96 overall. It comes complete with 84 Shooting, 85 Physical, and 82 Dribbling. After that, just two other 80-or-better cards are here with an 81 Carlos Fernandez and 82 Eder part of the Starting XI.

Unfortunately, this latest lineup is already drawing criticism from many Ultimate Team gamers. Some are even labeling it “Team of the Weak” based on the player cards here. However, these are upgraded cards for some players who may not have had a shot this past season due to the other top-notch players competing.

Still, gamers are applauding the inclusion of some stars such as Paulinho and Iniesta in the lineup, based on being amongst their favorites. Also, believe it or not, there are gamers out there who enjoy using some of the other players for the game.

FIFA Team of the Week Substitutes, Reserves

The recent Team of the Weeks we’ve seen don’t have that seven substitutes and five reserves formation that previous TOTW lineups did. This latest one brings just seven players in total. As mentioned, they consist of players you wouldn’t normally see here. There are players from China Super League, South African Premier League, and the Japan J1 League

  • GK Krzysztof Kaminski (Jubilo Ibwata) 75
  • LB Kim Min Woo (Jubilo Ibwata) 75
  • LB Nagato (Vegalta Sendai) 75
  • CM Piao Cheng (Beijing Sinobo Guoan) 75
  • ST Augustine Mullenga (Orlando Pirates) 75
  • RW Tsukasa Morishima (Sanfrecce Hiroshima) 72
  • ST Jrgen Strand Larsen (Sarpsborg 08 FF) 64

The latest FIFA 19 TOTW 40 player cards are available starting at 6 p.m. UK time on Wednesday. Gamers are able to obtain these cards through the FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) packs at the store. Pulling the best cards is up to chance, so you may need to have a hefty account, or consider another option.

There’s the Transfer Market where player cards are up for auction. Seek out the particular footballer card you want there and try placing a bid, or if you like a buy now price, consider that. Meanwhile, many FIFA Ultimate Team fans are awaiting the arrival of another Team of the Season, so stay tuned for that.
