The First Borderlands 3 DLC Soundtrack is Now Available to Download

The Borderlands 3 Takedown event may have been delayed to an unknown date, but fans do have another new release to get excited for; the official soundtrack from Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot. As of today, the first Borderlands 3 DLC soundtrack, featuring music from composers Jesper Kyd, Michael McCann, Leonard van Voorst, and Raison Varner, is now available both to stream and download online.

Borderlands 3 DLC Soundtrack: Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot

The Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot soundtrack release is actually the third soundtrack to be released for Borderlands 3. Following the main game’s soundtrack itself, Laced Records released a short soundtrack for the Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite late last year. Now, the company has released the first full Borderlands 3 DLC soundtrack in similar fashion. This new 23-track album is now available on Apple Music, iTunes, Spotify, Amazon Music, Deezer, and Tidal; the full list of retailer sites can be found here. The music is available to stream on many, and can be bought and downloaded on iTunes for £7.99.

The full Borderlands 3 soundtrack, at release, was a not-inconsiderable 86-tracks long, featuring the compositions of Jesper Kyd, Michael McCann, and Raison Varner, as well as Finishing Move. (The latter being the duo of composers Brian Lee White and Brian Trifon.) You can actually check out our interview with Finishing Move about the Borderlands 3 soundtrack here. Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite had its own 8-track album, composed solely by Finishing Move. However, the new Borderlands 3 soundtrack is a more sizeable addition. It features the work of the game’s other composers; Kyd, McCann, and Varner, plus the new addition of Leonard van Voorst.

Borderlands 3 DLC Soundtrack Now Available Online 2

Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot is the first of four DLC expansions which will eventually launch as part of the game’s season pass. As such, it seems likely that fans will be able to expect similarly large soundtracks for those releases. (If this DLC sets any kind of precedent, that is.) Additionally, Gearbox is planning to release further Takedowns, so it’s possible that those will also feature music of their own. Fans will have to wait and see.
