For Honor: How to Play the Assassini e Templari Game Mode

Rather than go the traditional holiday event route, Ubisoft whipped up something special for fans of For Honor. The limited-time ‘For the Creed’ event merges the worlds of For Honor and fellow Ubisoft property Assassin’s Creed. As part of the event, For Honor players can participate in a unique competitive game mode called Assassini e Templari.

What is For Honor’s Assassini e Templari Game Mode?

For Honor Assassini e Templari

Assassini e Templari is best described as a sort of Dominion/Breach hybrid mode. Two teams of four start each match by vying for control of a central capture point. When one team secures the capture point, an NPC commander for the opposing team spawns. For the orange team, this commander is none other than legendary Assassin Ezio Auditore. The blue team, meanwhile, gets iconic Assassin’s Creed villain Ceasare Borgia as their commander.

How to Win in Assassini e Templari

Every time a team’s commander is defeated, the opposing team gains 300 points. The team that controls the central capture point also gains 100 temporary points. A team’s commander will also only respawn if the enemy team recaptures the central point. When a team reaches 1,000 points total, the enemy team goes into a breaking state where respawns are disabled. If the breaking team doesn’t rally before they’re all eliminated, they lose.

Teams have to carefully balance multiple aspects of an Assassini e Templari match to emerge victorious. Attacking the enemy commander, defending your own commander, and keeping control of the capture point are all key. Much like in Breach, the NPC commanders are tough, but they also don’t regain any health they lose.

Aside from the Assassini e Templari game mode, the For the Creed event includes plenty of other Assassin’s Creed crossovers. Players can find new Assassin’s Creed-themed weapons and cosmetic items like outfits and ornaments. New executions and emotes are also available for purchase using Steel (For Honor’s in-game currency).
