Fortnite Battle Royale players are entering what’s going to be a very exciting week for the popular video game. Epic Games has announced that a new event would come to the game, and that it would bring many amazing things. One of these things is a new limited-time game mode, and the game developer just revealed details about it.
Epic Games revealed this game mode a few days ago, but we didn’t know anything about it back then. Fortunately, we got more details during the PAX stream as the Fortnite developer revealed gameplay of the upcoming mode.
Getaway LTM will be unique and very interesting. Basically, there will be four safes on the island and players will have to get to them, pick up a jewel from them, and extract the jewl to gateaway vans. The game ends when all four jewels have been extracted from the island.
This mode is just one of a few big things that’s waiting for Fortnite Battle Royale players next week. There will also be some exclusive cosmetic items players will be able obtain during the High Stakes event. This includes the exclusive Wildcard skin, as well as a pair of free items event participants will receive.
What makes the outfit even more awesome is the fact that it will have customizable styles. Players will be able to pick one of four different styles, similar to The Visitor skin from season 4 of Fortnite Battle Royale. In addition to this, there will be special challenges players will have to complete to earn more rewards.
The week will also bring the patch 5.40. The patch includes a couple of big gameplay changes, such as storm damage to player-built structures in the final stages of the game. Additionally, Fortnite players will receive the new item, Grappler, which will help them move around the island much quicker.
