The rumors about Fortnite Chapter 3 have been very popular in the last few weeks. Epic Games has teased players with the new chapter a few times, but the latest update has confirmed it. According to the files found in the game data, Fortnite Chapter 3 will start in early December 2021.
While the release of the new chapter might seem too early, the truth is that Chapter 2 has lasted longer than Chapter 1. Even though there have been only eight seasons so far, they have been much longer than the seasons from the first chapter. Players are expecting big things from Chapter 3 and there is no doubt that Epic Games is preparing something huge.
Fortnite Chapter 3 leaks are everywhere
Once again, Epic has teased players in and outside of the game with the new chapter. In the patch notes, the Fortnite developer used the following words: “Update 18.40 is here and the Island is destabilizing.” Many players remember the Season X trailer and know that this is a reference to it. In the trailer, Epic stated that “the world is destabilizing” and the season ended with the complete destruction of the island.
Besides the patch notes, the biggest confirmation of the Fortnite Chapter 3 came from the game data. Epic Games has added several new files with the latest patch, including the name of the season-ending event. Furthermore, leakers have found its loading screen as well. It turns out that the event will be called “The End” and that the new chapter will come after it.
As you can see in the image above, the Chapter 2 finale will come soon. It appears that players will fight against the Cube Queen, the antagonist of the current season. She now resides at the top of the Cube Pyramid at the center of the map. Some live event files had been leaked before the patch as well and it seems that we will get a multi-stage event once again.
Fortnite live event date and time
The live event will most likely happen on Sunday, December 5. This is when Season 8 is scheduled to end, so we can expect the event to start around 2 pm Eastern Time. If the leaks turn out to be true, we will get another Black Hole that will last until Tuesday, December 7.
Many Fortnite players are excited for the new chapter, so hopefully we will get it soon. After all these leaks, it would be disappointing to get Season 9 of Chapter 2. With less than three weeks to go in the season, this will be a very exciting period for Fortnite!
